As a Junior: A two-year captain, Coon continued to show her leadership behind the plate as she starting all 42 games at catcher for the Bulldogs. Coon did an outstanding job this season of handling young pitchers in Samantha Houseal and Stephanie Barrett, while playing solid defense as she committed just 12 errors in 257 chances (.953 fielding percentage). She was also one of the team's top run producers, finishing second with 14 RBI while leading the team in doubles with eight. Coon finished the season with a .220 batting average, belting two home runs. The catcher had a big game in a loss to Colgate, going three-for-four with four RBI. She also had a big hit against UConn, driving in the game-winning run with an RBI single to lift the Bulldogs to the upset. 

As a Sophomore: Coon started 40 games behind the plate in 2008 while making 45 appearances. Solid both offensively and defensively, Ashley was fifth on the team with a .303 batting average, 11 RBIs and 33 hits. The sophomore committed just four errors, good for a .983 fielding percentage, and throwing out four runners stealing.

As a Freshman: Coon started all 46 games behind the plate for the Bulldogs, and emerged as a serious offensive threat. Coon was second on the team with a .322 batting average behind only 2007 NE-10 Player of the Year Amanda Wilbur.Her .407 slugging percentage, 38 hits, 48 total bases, and 7 doubles were also among the top five Bulldogs. Coon was also solid defensively behind the plate, with a .976 fielding percentage and 2 pick offs on the season.
 

Before Bryant: Ashley is a 2006 graduate of Conwell Egan Catholic High School where she started three years at catcher. During her time at Egan, the Cardinals won four Philadelphia Catholic League Championships.Coon also played four years of field hockey and was an honor roll student all four years of high school

Personal: Ashley Marie Coon was born August 1, 1988. She is the daughter of James and Sharon Coon. She is a Communications major.
