As a Sophomore: Kyzer appeared in five games for the Bulldogs as a sophomore, serving as the back-up catcher for Ashley Coon. Kyzer had two hits in four at-bats during the year, singling against Florida Gulf Coast and Holy Cross. She scored one run against Holy Cross, and finished the year with two putouts behind the plate.
As a Freshman: Kyzer acted as a back-up catcher to Ashley Coon, but did earn four starts and appeared in five games in 2008. Kristina surrendered just one passed ball while throwing out two runners trying to steal and recording a perfect fielding percentage in 12 chances.
Before Bryant: Kristina is a 2007 graduate of
Acton-Boxboro Regional High School where she played four years of
varsity softball. She led her high school team to a Dual County
League championship in 2006. She was a Dual County League All-Star
in 2006 and 2007.
Personal: Kristina Lee "Kristie" Kyzer was born on May 26 1989. She is the daughter of Kenneth and Erin Kyzer. Her sister, Ann, plays softball at the University of Hartford. Kristina's major is communications.
