As a Sophomore: Burdo took charge as the starting third baseman early in the season for the Bulldogs, making 39 starts (29 at third base) throughout the year while appearing in 41 games. Burdo showed off one of the best gloves on the team, finishing fourth in fielding percentage at .966 while committing only four errors at the hot corner. She was consistent at third, finishing with 79 assists and 33 putouts. The sophomore led the team in sacrifice bunts with six while hitting .146 for the season. Burdo had a big day in a doubleheader against Brown on April 23, going two-for-three in game one while driving home a career-best four RBI. She came back in the second game to drive in two more runs, finishing the day with six RBI.

As a Freshman: Burdo played in 43 games while starting 42, scoring 16 runs and recording 14 hits while coming finishing second on the team with 9 sacrifice hits. Regina was also solid defensively, committing just three errors all season, good for a .930 fielding percentage.

Before Bryant: Regina is a 2007 graduate of Archbishop Carroll High School where she played four years of varsity softball. She led her high school team to four playoff appearances including a division championship in 2004. She was second team All-Catholic league in 2004 and 2005 and first-team in 2006 and 2007. She was also an honor student in high school and played baskertball as a freshman.
