Bryant loses series to Mount St. Mary's on Sunday

Smithfield, R.I. - The Bryant Univeristy softball team fell to Mount St. Mary's 9-0 in the first game of the doubleheader today at Conaty Park. Game two was canceled due to rain.

  • In the top of the second inning, Mount St. Marys hit an RBI triple scoring two runs (2-0). Then Mount executed the double steal with runners on the corners and hit an RBI double and a groundball to shortstop, adding three more runs (5-0).
  • The Mountaineers recorded an RBi single in the top of the third to add another run to their lead (6-0).
  • Mount St. Mary's scored the final; twp runs of the game on a double steal and an infield single (9-0), which ended the game.
