Bryant falls to NSU 4-2 on Sunday
NORFOLK, VA. - The Bryant Univeristy softball team lost a close game to Norfolk State 4-2 in the final game of the Norfolk Softball Tournament.

- The Black and Gold had the tying run at the plate with two outs in the seventh inning but failed to score.
How it Happened
- The Spartans hit an RBI single in the bottom of the fourth and then scored a second run on a Bulldog error (2-0).
- NSU had a runner on second, and when the ball was in play, a Bryant error brought both runs in (4-0).
- Amira Rainer hit a leadoff single in the top of the sixth, and then Jenna Gardner launched a double to left-center, placing runners at third and second. Hailey Aspinwall and Toni Camarillo hit groundballs that scored a run, shrinking the deficit to two (4-2).
Stats
- Alexis Clancy, Allison Tomaino, and Gardner recorded hits.
- McKeveny posted one strikeout in four innings pitched.
- Jocelyn Bodington had back-to-back strikeouts in the bottom of the sixth as a relief pitcher.
- Gardner threw out her third runner of the season.
