Amanda Dow-Allen begins her first year as an assistant softball coach at Bryant University in 2007-08.  She comes to Bryant from Wellesley College where she was an assistant coach for five seasons (2004-08). While at Wellesley, she played a key role within the program with duties including practice planning, scouting opponents, and working with infielders and outfielders, catchers and hitters.   Wellesley had great success during while Dow-Allen was with the program, including ECAC playoff berths in 2005 and 2006 as well as winning the NEWMAC League Championship in 2007.  Wellesley qualified for the 2007 and 2008 NCAA playoffs. 

A 2004 graduate of Wheaton College, Dow-Allen was a was a member of the school's softball and basketball teams.  In softball, she earned a pair of All-New England honors in 2003 and 2004 as well as a pair of a NEWMAC All-Conference selections in '03-04.  She received All-New England recognition from 2003-04 as well as NCAA Regional All-Tourney honors in 2001, 2004 and NCAA National All-Tournament honors in 2004.
