MEN'S TRACK FINISHES FOURTH AT URI MEGA MEET
KINGSTON, RI -- The Bryant University men's indoor track & field team took part in the University of Rhode Island Mega Meet Friday evening at URI's Mackal Field House. The Bulldogs finished in a tie for fourth with Quinnipiac with 30 total team points. Host URI was first with 271.5 points followed by UNH (144.5) and UMass (117). RIC and AIC were sixth and seventh respectively.
Bryant was led by Alex Engel's sixth-place finish in the 200 meters in 22.94 seconds while teammates Mike DiBella (22.43) and Curtis Markinac (23.69) were 11th and 13th in the 200m. DiBella would later run well, taking fifth in the 400m in 51.33. Freshman Thomas O'Connor took second (50.58).
Peter Jacques added a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters. Bryant will travel to the Valentine Day Invitatational hosted by Boston University next Friday and Saturday.
