MEN'S AND WOMEN'S TRACK PLACES FOURTH AT NE-10 MEET

NEW HAVEN, CT - The Bryant men's and women's indoor track teams placed fourth respectively at the 2008 Northeast-10 Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships at Southern Connecticut State University Saturday. Southern Connecticut won both men's and women's championships with Stonehill men taking second and the Stonehill women finishing as runners up on the women's side.
Bryant had several conference champions on the day as Nicole Radzik won both the women's 3,000 meters and 5,000 meters in earning Women's Athlete of the Meet honors. Radzik won the 3,000m in a time of 10:35:16 and followed with a first place finish in the 5,000 meters later in the afternoon in 19:41.10.
Stephanie Montagano won the women's 400 meters in a time of 59.15 while Abigail Peterson placed second in the pole vault after clearing 10 feet.
The men were led by Alex Engel's second place finish in the
men's 200 meters (22.71) while the men's 4 x 400 meter relay team
of Thomas O'Connor, Andrew Fitzgerald, Mike DiBella and Engel on
the anchor leg captured the 2008 Northeast-10 title with a first
place time of 3:28.81.
