BRYANT TRACK STANDOUT NICOLE RADZIK EARNS TRIP TO NCAA INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS MARCH 14-15

 
 

 Nicole Radzik Will Compete at the 2008 NCAA Track & Field Championships in the 5,000 meter finals scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at 6:00 p.m. local time.

SMITHFIELD, RI - Bryant University track & field and cross country standout Nicole Radzik (Sutton, MA) has qualified for the 2008 NCAA Division II Indoor Track & Field Championships in the 5,000 meters. 

Radzik, who will be making her first indoor track & field championship appearance, qualified by earning the 16th and final spot in the 5,000 meters with a time of 17 minutes, 32.90. Emporia State's Jonel Rossbach posted the country's fastest time in the event of 16:54.12. 

This past fall, Radzik captured the NCAA Northeast Division II Regional Championship and made her second appearance at the NCAA Cross Country National Championships.

Recently on Friday March 2, 2008, Radzik brought home a fourth-place finish in the women's 5,000 meters finishing in 17 minutes, 31.10 seconds during the 2008 New England Championships at Boston University.  She was also recently named Top Dog Athlete of the week by the local school newspaper.

Radzik will run in the 5,000 meter finals scheduled for Saturday, March 15 at 6:00 p.m. local time.
