INDOOR TRACK COMPETES AT URI'S SORLEIN INVITATIONAL
KINGSTON, RI - The Bryant University women's indoor track & field team returned to action Friday by taking part in the University of Rhode Island Sorlein Invitational at Mackal Field House. The Bulldogs, idle since early December, got a couple of top-10 performances on the afternoon led by Kat Ragone's sixth-place finish in the women's 800 meters. Ragone finished in a time of 2 minutes, 34.87 seconds, just ahead of teammate Casey Fenwick who placed eighth in 2:36.34.
Kim Warner was busy competing in three events on the day. The freshman picked up a 22nd place finish in the 200 meter dash in 29.54 seconds and followed with a 15th-placing in the 400 meters in 1:05.24.
She would close out the meet later in the day competing in the women's long jump where she placed 18th overall clearing 13 feet, 3.5 inches. Teammate Amy Hutchinson placed ninth in the long jump (15-1.5) while Justine Douvadjian was right behind in tenth with a mark of 15-0.75.
