Three take home first-place finishes at George Davis Invitational

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Freshman Emily Cluck (Johnson City, N.Y.) and juniors Melissa Lodge (Hopkinton, Mass.) and Milan Duka (Belgrade, Serbia) all took home first-place finishes on Saturday afternoon at the UMass Lowell George Davis Invitational.

The Bulldog women were defeated by New Hampshire (105-47) and UMass Lowell (98-42). The men fell to UNH (104-44) and UMass Lowell (86-71).

Cluck continued her strong rookie season by winning the 100m dash with a time of 12.52. Lodge picked up a win in the 1500, posting a time of 4:36.21 and Duka won the men's 1500 with a time of 4:04.23.

Bryant's 4x400 relay team of Alec Binette (Glastonbury, Conn.), Brian Murray (Westford, Mass.), Richard Landry (Holyoke, Mass.) and Duka finished first with a time of 3:25.91.

MiaLynne Park (Jewett City, Conn.) had a strong day, finishing second in the 200m (26.35) and fourth in the 100m.

Jacklyn Sullivan (Plymouth, Mass.) finished third and Olivia Weiss (Newton, N.J.) finished sixth in the 800. Sullivan posted a time of 2:15.39.

Emily McNeil (Shelton, Conn.) finished fourth in the 3000 with a time of 10:18.82.

Alexandra Watts (Clinton, Conn.) finished third in the pole vault (3.25m) and Jonee Harrison (Dorchester, Mass.) finished fourth in the hammer.

Christopher Wrenn (Norton, Mass.) and Ryan Poholek (Attleboro, Mass.) finished 6-7 in the 800 on the men's side.

Matt McGovern (Long Beach, N.Y.) finished second in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 9:53.56.
