Bryant battles for NEC title this weekend

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Bryant University men's and women's indoor track and field team is prepped and ready as they head to Staten Island to compete in the Northeast Conference Indoor Championship. The Championship meet is a two-day meet beginning on Friday, Feb. 21 and can be viewed on NEC Front Row or the NEC On the Run app.

BULLDOGS NOTES AND NOTABLES

  • Last season at the NEC Championship, the men finished eighth while the women finished ninth overall. LIU Brooklyn was the top finisher for the men and Mount St. Mary's came out on top last season for the women.
  • Emily Cluck (Johnson City, N.Y.) was the lone Bulldog to medal in an event in 2019 as she took home the gold in the 400m. Cluck finished with a time of 56.54.
  • Courtney Kelleher (Wrentham, Mass.) set a personal-best last season at NEC's in shot put by throwing 12.32m which was good for eighth overall.
  •  Senior Jordan Dagrin (North Kingstown, R.I.) finished among the top 10 last season in the mile run with a personal-best time of 4:20.90. Jason Dolan (Westford, Mass.) also competed in the event finishing fifth overall with a time of 4:17.33.
  • Freshman Kasey Thomas (Easton, Pa.) is coming off a first-place finish in shot put from the Gordon Kelly Invitational at MIT. Thomas led the women with a PR of 12.49m.
