Track and Field Heads to URI Invite on Saturday

KINGSTON, R.I.- The Bryant track and field squads will head to URI this weekend to compete in the Sorlein Memorial Invitational, their second indoor meet of the season.

Notes and Notables

- William Remkiewicz will be running the 400 meters this weekend. He set a school record in the 300 at the season opening Brown meet with a time of 35.46.

- Lois Warden also set a program record and qualified for the NEICAAA's at Brown with a 3.40 meter effort in the pole vault. She will be competing in the event again this weekend.

- Shileigh Martinez will also be in the women's pole vault this weekend. She nearly missed a personal best at the Brown meet, but has two of Bryant's top five jumps all-time.

- Grace Yost currently holds the program record in the 60 meter hurdles with a time of 9.34. She set the mark in 2019, and will look to improve on it in the event this weekend. She will also be running in the 200 meters.

- Brett Cloutier and Grant Dubiel are both in the program's top five in the shot put after strong performances at Brown. Cloutier's throw of 15.07 meters put him second on the all-time list, while Dubiel is now fourth with a distance of 14.04 meters. They will both be competing in the event at URI, and Dubiel will also be entered in the weight throw.

- Graduate student Jordan Dagrin will be making his season debut, competing in the one-mile run. A two year captain and All-NEC performer during his undergrad years, Dagrin is exercising his final year of eligibility in the spring semester.
