Bryant Places Eight on All-NEC Teams

SOMERSET, N.J.- Eight members of the Bryant track and field teams have earned All-NEC honors, as announced by the conference this week. Emma Garrity and Lois Warden led the way, earning All-NEC recognition for both the indoor and outdoor seasons. Will Remkiewicz, Andrew Canale, Anna Orticerio, Dawson Reynolds, John Bruder, and Brooke Bock also earned recognition.

Garrity and Warden were named to the first team for both seasons. Garrity won gold at both NEC Indoor and Outdoor Championships, doing so in the 400 and 500 meters. She was also part of the bronze medal winning 4x400 relay teams at both championships. Warden won NEC gold in the indoor and outdoor pole vaults this season, setting Bryant program records in both.

Remkiewicz was named to the All-NEC first team and rookie team for the indoor season. He won gold in the 400 at his first NEC Indoor Championships, and scored points in the 4x400 relay. Canale was named to the second team for the indoor season. He placed second to Remkiewicz in the 400 and was on the same fifth place 4x400 team.

Orticerio was named to the All-NEC second team for the outdoor season after winning silver in the hammer throw at the conference meet. Reynolds (10,000 meters), Bruder (shot put), and Bock (hammer throw) were named to the outdoor all-rookie team.
