FULL GAME NOTES

ON TAP AT THE CHACE ATHLETIC CENTER
The Bryant University women's basketball team will look to snap a two-game skid when it welcomes in-state foe URI to Smithfield for a 1 p.m. tilt on Sunday.

THE SERIES
Sunday will mark the fourth overall meeting between the two schools, and just the third since Bryant became a Division I institution during the 2008-09 season. In their two DI matchups, the Bulldogs and Rams have split, with URI taking the last meeting, 65-50, in Nov. 2012. The last, and only, time Bryant and URI met up in Smithfield was during the 2011-12 season with the Black and Gold pulling out the 75-62 victory.

SCOUTING THE RAMS
After winning just seven games a season ago, URI is off to a terrific start under first-year head coach Daynia La-Force posting a 7-3 record through 10 games this year. After opening the year 1-3, the Rams have won six-straight with just two games left before opening Atlantic 10 play in January.

True freshman Charise Wilson had burst on the college basketball scene and currently leads her team with 16.1 points per game to go along with 5.2 rebounds per game and 3.4 assists per game. Wilson, the lone Ram averaging double digits in scoring, has put up double-digits in all but one game this season and has been named the A-10 Rookie of the Week twice already.

Rhode Island, who averages just 59 ppg, has eight players averaging at least 18 minute per game and seven scoring at least 5.0 ppg. URI has only scored above 70 points once this season with all six of its wins during the current streak coming thanks to a strong defensive effort.

MILESTONE WATCH
Averaging 16 points per game this season, senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey enters Sunday's contest needing just 16 points to reach the 1,000-point milestone. Bailey would become the 22nd player in program history to reach the milestone and just the third to do so all at the Division I level.

OH THE IVORY
Freshman guard Ivory Bailey has quickly established herself as not only one of the top rookies in the Northeast Conference, but one of the top scorers in the league, averaging 13.1 points per game this season. Bailey has led Bryant in scoring each of the past three games, averaging a team-best 20 ppg and .477 shooting percentage during that span.

TAKE ME HOME
The Bulldogs have posted an impressive 4-0 mark at home this season, while going just 2-3 away from the friendly confines of the Chace Athletic Center. At home, Bryant is outscoring opponents by 8.0 ppg and shooting 43 percent from the field while on the road.

BENCH BLUNDERS
The Bryant women's basketball team is still in search of some offensive production from its bench, which has scored just 60 points through nine games this season (6.7 ppg). The Bulldogs' bench has accounted for just nine percent of total scoring this season.

AND THE AWARD GOES TO…
The Bryant women's basketball program has been well represented on the Northeast Conference weekly awards this season with a Bulldog earning either Player of the Week or Rookie of the Week honors in four of the first five weeks. Most recently, Ivory Bailey's 18.5 ppg, 6.0 rpg, and 3.0 spg vs. Holy Cross and Cornell earned her the dual honor of Player and Rookie of the Week on Dec. 8. Last season, Bryant did not receive a single NEC weekly honor.

STARTING FIVE
All five Bulldog starters (Jenniqua Bailey, Tiersa Winder, Ivory Bailey, Breanna Rucker, and Morgan Olander) are averaging at least 10 points per game enter Wednesday's game and all rank in the top 18 in the Northeast Conference in scoring, making Bryant the lone team to accomplish that feat.

WINDEX
Always among the top rebounding teams in the Northeast Conference, Bryant once against sits near the top in almost every rebounding category in the NEC rankings. Outrebounding opponents by an average margin of 8.2 rpg (first in NEC), the Bulldogs have outrebounded the opposition in all nine games this season, averaging nearly 43 rpg.

DROPPIN' DIMES
Senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey dished out a career-high nine assists on Dec. 6 at Cornell and currently ranks second in the Northeast Conference in assists per game with 5.9. The senior needs just 63 assists to get 400 for her career.

WELCOME TO THE CENTURY CLUB
Senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey appeared in her 100th career game on Nov. 30 vs. PC, becoming just the eighth player in Division I program history to do so. Bailey, currently at 103 career games, is within reach of breaking the all-time program record for games played in a career (121), a mark currently held by Dede Fogarty (2001-05).

BAILEY DROPS 35
Senior point guard Jenniqua Bailey put up a career-high 35 points on 11-of-14 shooting in Sunday's win over Providence College. The 35 points marks the most since Courtney Schissler's 36 points at Saint Francis U. on Jan. 13, 2014 and is tied for the fifth most points in a single game in program history.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN
On Tuesday, Nov. 18 at Vermont, the Bryant opened a stretch with eight of its first 12 games away from the Chace Athletic Center. Last season, the Bulldogs posted an 8-9 overall record on the road.
