Bulldogs meet with Boston U for Tuesday clash
SIMTHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's basketball team takes the short trip to Boston University on Tuesday, November 20 for a 7 p.m. tip. The Bulldogs look to regain a winning record after losing two straight to Maine and West Virginia.

SCOUTING THE TERRIERS
The Terriers post a 1-2 record after losing to Marist, 68-57, on Friday.
Nia Irving returns for Boston University as its leading scorer after scoring 16 points last season against the Black and Gold. Irving has posted 41 points thus far on the season averaging 13.7 points per game.
Marisa Moseley leads the team for her first season as head coach after assisting at UConn for nine years prior.
THE SERIES
Thursday's meeting will mark the second time in history that the two teams have met. Last season BU took down the Bulldogs at Chace, 78-61.
NATIONAL STAGE
Bryant met with No. 25 West Virginia as Sydney Holloway (Morgantown, W. Va.) had the chance to play in her hometown of Morgantown, W. Va. This was the first time that Bryant has played a ranked team since No. 24 Syracuse in 2010. The Bulldogs fell, 94-48, to the Moutaineers.
SEEING DOUBLE
Junior wing Sydney Holloway recorded back-to-back-to-back double doubles in her first three games of the 2018-19 season. Against Brown, Holloway scored 27 points and grabbed 20 rebounds. No Bulldogs has had a 20/20 game since Holloway did it against Fairleigh Dickinson last season.
Last season, she was named First Team All-NEC after averaging 17.6 points, 10.8 rebounds, 1.3 steals, and 0.6 assists per game. Holloway was the only conference player to average a double-double which ranked her 19th nationally for her double-double performances.
CONNORS FOR THREE
Senior Haley Connors (West Hartford, Conn.) is back as Bryant's top three-point threat in 2018-19. Connors made four three-pointers in back-to-back games to kick-off the 2018-19 season. The senior guard scored her career-high of 18 points against Brown. She currently first in the NEC for 3-point attempts and makes.
Connors led the Bulldogs with 29 3s last season and made a career-high 42 as a sophomore in 2016-17. The senior sank 4 against UMass Lowell with a three-point percentage of 57.1%.
BOARDING SCHOOL
After the first three games of the 2018-19 season, Bryant has out-rebounded all of their opponents except for West Virginia where the Black and Gold matched the Mountaineers with 37 rebounds a piece. Sydney Holloway leads the Bulldogs with 51 total rebounds which ranks her first in the conference and third in the country.
Bryant led the Northeast Conference in rebound margin and was second in rebounds last season, out-rebounding its opponents by 2.7 rebounds a game. The Bulldogs held opponents to 1,127 rebounds over the course of the season and outrebounded opponents in 20 of the 29 games.
PICKING POCKETS
This season, senior Kierra Palmer (Aberdeen, Md.) leads Bryant and the Northeast Conference with seven steals.
Naomi Ashley (Hamilton, Ont.) led the NEC in steals per game last season swiping almost three a game. Compiling 83 steals for the season, Ashley is ranked third all-time at Bryant for steals in a season and second all-time for steals in a game as she stole a career high of nine.
NO, NO, NO
Sophomores Julia Kelner (Fayetteville, N.Y.) leads the Bulldogs in blocked shots with three. Trinity Bravo (Bridgeport, Conn.) also tallied a block in her collegiate debut.
Hannah Scanlan (Rumson, N.J.) led the Bulldogs last season with 27 blocks in her rookie debut. In her first game at the collegiate leve, Scanlan recorded a career-high of three.
UP NEXT: NEW HAMPSHIRE
The Bulldogs return to action after Thanksgiving on Sunday, November 25 for an afternoon clash with the University of New Hampshire. Game time is set for 1 p.m. as Bryant continues their seven game road schedule before returning to Smithfield at the end of December.
