SCOUTING THE KNIGHTS
The Knights are currently 3-9 in conference recently falling to Saint Francis U, 77-65.
Lauren Francillion leads the Knights scoring 10.6 points a game. The last time the two teams met, Natalie Zamora dropped 13 points against the Bulldogs swiping four steals and dishing out three assists.
SERIES HISTORY
Monday will be the 20th time in history that the two teams will meet as Bryant leads the series, 13-6. Earlier this season, Bryant fell to FDU, 63-53, in Hackensack. Sydney Holloway (Morgantown, W. Va.) led the Bulldogs with 20 points and Masey Zegarowski (Hamilton, Mass.) added 15.
LAST TIME OUT: SACRED HEART 67, BRYANT 57
Sacred Heart topped Bryant for the second time this season, 67-57, in Smithfield.
Naomi Ashley (Hamilton, Ont.) and Holloway led with 14 points each. Holloway grabbed 13 rebounds while Ashley swiped four steals.
Taty LaFrance Boyce (Norwich, Conn.) added 13 points shooting a perfect 100 percents from everywhere on the court. Boyce was 4-4 from the field, 1-1 from three, and 4-4 from the free throw line.
SEEING DOUBLE
Junior forward Sydney Holloway tallies 15 double-doubles so far this season, 33 for her career, leading the NEC. Holloway ranks 13th in the country for her double-double efforts averaging a double-double a night with 16.9 points per game and 11.7 rebounds per game.
DISHING IT OUT
Kierra Palmer (Aberdeen, Md.) led the Bulldogs with a season-high 10 assists in conference opener vs. LIU Brooklyn. She currently leads the Bulldogs with 87 assists so far on the season and is ranked second in the NEC for assists per game with 3.8. Palmer compiled her 500th assist against Sacred Heart as she is now one of just seven players in NEC history to reach the milestone.
ON THE RISE
Holloway has continued to climb the Division I scoring ranks at Bryant jumping seven spots already this year. She has surpassed Jenniqua Bailey for the third spot. Holloway reached the 1,000 point milestone on 12/30 against Holy Cross becoming the fastest player in Bryant women's basketball Division I history to do so.
WATCH ME WHIP, WATCH ME NAY NAY
Despite only averaging 6.8 points per game in the conference schedule, Naomi Ashley has proven that she is more than just a defensive player. Ashley has recorded double-figure scoring in the last four games for the Bulldogs. It started at Central Connecticut when Ashley scored a season-high of 15 points. She followed up the performance with back-to-back 12-point games against Robert Morris and Saint Francis U. Most recently, Ashley led the Bulldogs with 14 points against Sacred Heart.
PUT ME IN COACH
Junior transfer Meagan Bianchi (Brooklyn, Conn.) made her first career appearance as a Bulldog against Sacred Heart. Bianchi immediately notched four points in just 10 minutes of play. The UConn Avery Point transfer dished out two assists and pulled down one rebound.
