Bulldogs fall to MSM in NEC Championship

EMMITSBURG, MD.– The Bryant Univeristy women's basketball team fell to Mount St. Mary's 60-42 on the road in the Northeast Conference Championship game.

• MSM outscored the Bulldogs 19-9 in the second quarter.

 How it Happened

• The Bulldogs and Mountaineers had a defensive battle in the first quarter, with MSM earning a slight 14-13 edge. Bjelko had four. Lucie Castagne, Nicole Gallagher, and Kemari Reynolds all had three points.
• In the second period, Mount broke away from the Black and Gold with a 19-9 scoring run (33-22). Bjelko had six, and Shannon O'Connor posted three.
• The Bulldogs were outdueled 27-20 in the second half, making the final score 60-42.

• Bjelko posted 16 points.
• Alana Perkins, Castagne, Gallagher, and O'Connor all hit three-pointers.
