Bulldogs take on #6 Boston College in NCAA First Round Friday at 5p

FULL GAME NOTES

THE PARTICULARS
The Bulldogs make their first-ever NCAA tournament appearance after whisking their way through the Northeast Conference without a single loss this spring. Bryant entered the NEC Tournament as the host and top seed after posting a 7-0 regular-season league mark and added a conference tournament championship to their regular-season crown by topping second-seeded Wagner, 14-6, in Sunday's title bout.

THE SERIES
The Bulldogs and Eagles have met twice before in program history, and Boston College owns a 2-0 record against the Black and Gold after a 20-4 win in Smithfield in 2010 and a 15-2 victory in the series opener in Massachusetts back in 2009. No current Bryant players has ever faced off against Boston College.

BRYANT vs. THE ACC
Boston College is the only member of the ACC the Bulldogs have played in their short Division I history.

BATCHELLER IN THE NCAA TOURNAMENT
While this is the first NCAA tournament for Jill Batcheller as a head coach, the second-year bench boss is no stranger to the dance. A 2007 graduate of Syracuse University, DePetris was a four-year starting midfielder for the Orange and helped guide her team to a pair of NCAA tournament appearances in 2005 and 2007.
