Women's lax unveils 2015 slate

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University head coach Jill Batcheller is pleased to announce the 2015 Bulldog women's lacrosse schedule, as the Black and Gold look to defend their regular-season and tournament titles this spring.

The 16-game slate features nine home games and seven league contests and is highlighted by a Spring Break trip to the West Coast, where the Black and Gold will compete against Fresno State (March 11) and UC Davis (March 14). The Bulldogs will open 2015 at home with a Valentine's Day matchup against Holy Cross (1 p.m.).

Bryant returns to the field just three days later to host Siena at the Turf Complex on Tuesday, Feb. 17 and will stay nearby for its first road outing of the year Saturday, Feb. 21 at intrastate rival Brown. Two more home contests follow for the Bulldogs, who welcome Manhattan College to Smithfield Saturday, Feb. 28 before opening March action at home against Yale Wednesday, March 4.

From there, the Bulldogs will set out on their Spring Break trip to California, followed by a tilt at UMass Lowell on Monday, March 23 that wraps up a three-game road stint. Bryant closes out non-league action Saturday, March 28 at home against Lehigh.

The Northeast Conference opener starts a new month of lacrosse, as Bryant hosts rival Central Connecticut Friday, April 3 to kick off league play before hitting the road to take on Sacred Heart a week later. LIU Brooklyn visits Smithfield on Sunday, April 12.

The squad's final two regular-season road matches come on the Bulldogs' weekend in western Pennsylvania, challenging Robert Morris Friday, April 17 in Moon Township before head to Saint Francis U. two days later for a Sunday afternoon tilt in Loretto.

Bryant ends its regular-season slate inside the friendly confines of the Turf Complex with back-to-back contests against Wagner (Friday, April 24) and Mount St. Mary's (Sunday, April 26).

The Northeast Conference Tournament will be hosted May 1 and 3 at the site of the highest seed.
