Bryant hits road for Wednesday meeting at Mount

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's lacrosse team hits the road for the first of its two-game road stretch when they visit Mount St. Mary's for a midweek tilt. The teams will square off on Wednesday, April 14 at 3 p.m. on NEC Front Row.

THE SERIES

• Mount St. Mary's downed Bryant in its home opener, 20-11, giving the Mountaineers the all-time series advantage, 7-6. In Emmitsburg, the series is tied at three-all.

SCOUTING THE MOUNTAINEERS

• The Mountaineers have yet to lose a conference game as they sit at the top of the standings with a perfect 8-0 mark. The team has only dropped one home game so far this season in their season-opener against Towson, 10-7.
• Mount's smallest margin of victory over an NEC foe this season was against Wagner when they topped the Seahawks, 11-6. The Mountaineers rank third in the country and lead the NEC in scoring margin (9.36).  
• The team posts multiple top-10 national rankings including third in clearing percentage (.932), sixth in free position percentage (.565), seventh in points per game (23.73), fourth in save percentage (.533), third in scoring defense (7.18), seventh in scoring offense (16.55), eighth in shot percentage (.496), and seventh in turnovers per game (12.55).
• Senior Jenna Oler is one of the top goalies in the country ranking fourth with a 7.34 goals-against average. Oler averages 6.20 saves per game and posts a save percentage of .508. The senior played a little over 20 minutes earlier this season against the Bulldogs and she stopped three.
• Jordan Butler is Mount's top goal scorer ranking 20^th in the country with 34 goals on the season. Against Bryant, she led the Mountaineers with a season-best six goals. Butler is second in the NEC averaging 3.09 goals per game.

BULLDOGS NOTES AND NOTABLES

• The Bulldogs improved to a 3-4 NEC mark after topping Saint Francis in a 14-12 thriller. Devon Bolen netted the go-ahead goal in the final minute of play when Skylar Simmonds found Bolen fading towards the net. The Simmonds and Bolen duo led Bryant's offense with three goals apiece against the Red Flash.
• The Bolen twins lead the Bulldogs in goals this season with a combined 26. Caitlin Bolen posts 15 so far on the year after pouring in seven at Merrimack. She ranks seventh in the NEC with 2.50 goals per game.
• Junior Cassidy Burns leads the Black and Gold in assists with 13 on the year. Burns is seventh in the conference for that mark and fourth in the NEC averaging 1.86 assists per game.
• On the defensive end, Gabriella Henry's leadership in the defensive unit has led to a team-high seven caused turnovers and 14 groundballs. Most recently, Henry notched a career-high four caused turnovers against the Red Flash.
• As a team, Bryant ranks 16^th nationally and second in the NEC with 24.86 shots per game. Alexa Weber leads the Bulldogs with 32 on the year and 27 on target. Caitlin Bolen trails closely behind with 31.
