CCSU visits Smithfield for Senior Day

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's lacrosse team hosts Central Connecticut on Saturday, April 24 at 1 p.m. At the conclusion of the game, the Bulldogs will honor the team's 11-member class of 2021.

THE SERIES

• The Bulldogs hold the all-time series advantage, 12-2, after topping the Blue Devils earlier this season, 18-3.

SCOUTING THE BLUE DEVILS

• Central Connecticut has yet to win a game this season as they are 0-12 and most recently dropped a 14-4 decision against Sacred Heart.
• Central's goalie, Cooper Codwin, posts top NEC marks in saves and saves per game. Codwin is first in the conference and 11^th nationally with 118 saves on the year. The senior is also second in the NEC in saves per game with 9.83.
• Graduate student Morgan Sinton leads the Blue Devils by a wide margin with 20 goals this season. Sinton netted one of Central's three goals during the last outing with the Black and Gold.
• The Blue Devils posted a season-high 11 goals during the non-conference schedule against UMass Lowell. The only other time they entered double-figure scoring was when they poured in ten goals in a 19-10 decision against Merrimack.

BULLDOGS NOTES AND NOTABLES

• Bryant will honor its 11 members of the 2021 class at the conclusion of Saturday's game including Jenna Birnbohm-Kaminski, Caitlin Bolen, Devon Bolen, Abbi England, Shea Farrell, Jamie Fischer, Gabriella Henry, Giana Kapoosuzian, Natalie Langella, Emma Lindquist, and Megan McCarthy.
• The Bulldogs are 5-5 in NEC play and sit in fourth in the NEC rankings. Despite the fourth-place seeding, Bryant has not yet clinched a playoff spot as Sacred Heart trails just one game behind.  
• Caitlin Bolen has netted 13 goals in the last 13 games and is second in the conference scoring 3.11 goals per game. In Bryant's last outing, she led the team with six goals against Merrimack.
• Junior Cassidy Burns posted her first hattrick of the season against Merrimack when she tallied three goals and two assists. She leads the team with 21 assists which helped the Bulldogs climb to second in the NEC with 6.10 assists per game.
• Bryant posts top national marks in shots per game (33.30), shots on goal per game (25.40), and turnovers (low) per game (13.00).
• Freshman Kenna Kaut and graduate Gabriella Henry netted their first career goals at Merrimack. Kaut went on to score two to go along with two caused turnovers while Henry led with a game-high three ground balls.
