Bulldogs Picked T3 in First America East Poll

BOSTON, Mass.- The Bryant women's lacrosse team has been ranked in a tie for third in their first America East preseason poll, released by the conference on Thursday.

The Bulldogs received 21 points, tying them with UMBC for the third spot. Vermont received 34 points, including four first-place votes, to take the top spot, followed by defending conference tournament champs UAlbany, who received the other three first-place votes. Binghamton, UMass Lowell, and New Hampshire rounded out the rankings.

Bryant enters the America East with momentum, having won last year's NEC regular season crown after a fourth-place preseason ranking. They will be led in the new conference by last year's NEC Offensive Player of the Year in Kenna Kaut and Rookie of the Year in Jessica Colalillo, as well as Coach of the Year Brianna Roche and all-conference selections Skylar Simmonds and Amelia Piercy

The Bulldogs were 1-2 in non-conference action against the America East last season, including a home win over UMass Lowell and an overtime loss at New Hampshire. They will open the 2023 season on February 15 against Holy Cross, with their first conference game on March 18 at Vermont.
