Bryant drops season finale at Mount

EMMITSBURG, Md. – The Bryant University women's soccer team fell in its season finale on Friday night at Mount St. Mary's.

Coach Biggs' Comments 

"I thought we started a bit tentatively today. We worked hard and grew back into the game as it went along, but weren't able to create the type of chance we needed to score the tying goal." 

Key Moment 

In the 14th minute, Sarah Harmon gave Mount St. Mary's all they would need as she flicked a cross into the left netting to give the Mountaineers an advantage. 

Scoring Summary 

14th minute – Mount St. Mary's 1, Bryant 0 – Jasmine McCree was able to gain possession on the end line and send a low ball into the area and Harmon flicked it onto goal in a crowded penalty area. 

Stats/Notes 

  • The Bulldogs outshot Mount St. Mary's 6-3 in the second half, but the Mount held the overall margin at 10-7. 
  • Senior Cayla D'Amico(Grafton, Mass.) and sophomore Amanda Spitaleri (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) led the way with a pair of shots each. 
  • Sophomore Meghan Dalton (West Hartford, Conn.) finished the afternoon with two saves and both came in the second 45 minutes.  
  • Bryant finished with four wins in Smithfield and away from Smithfield this season.
