Dalton earns NEC Defensive Player of the Week honors

SOMERSET, N.J. – Bryant University women's soccer junior goalie Meghan Dalton (West Hartford, Conn.) was named the Northeast Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Tuesday.

Dalton helped the Bulldogs win both games in western Pennsylvania for the first time in program history over the weekend, posting a combined 10 saves in back-to-back clean sheets. She made two saves in a 2-0 victory over Saint Francis U and then made eight stops in a 1-0 win against Robert Morris on Sunday. With the two wins, Dalton became the first goalie in DI program history, and only the third ever, to win 20 games in a career.

The Bulldogs are now unbeaten in their last six matches (4-0-2) and sit in first place in the NEC standings with a 3-0-1 record. Bryant welcomes Mount St. Mary's to the Bulldog Soccer Field on Sunday afternoon.
