Bryant faces FDU in NEC Semifinals

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The third-seeded Bryant University women's soccer team faces second-seeded Fairleigh Dickinson on Friday afternoon in the second semifinal of the Northeast Conference Women's Soccer Championships held at Central Connecticut State University in New Britain, Connecticut.

Top-seeded CCSU will face fourth-seeded Sacred Heart at 1:00 p.m., with the Bulldogs and Knights to follow. The two winners will meet on Sunday afternoon at 1:00 p.m. for the NEC title. Sunday's winner will receive an automatic bid to the 2019 NCAA Women's Soccer Championships.

• Bryant finished NEC play with a 7-0-3 record, its first unbeaten season in DI program history.
• Remi Manna (Pleasantville, N.Y.) leads the Bulldogs with a career-high six goals and 14 points.
• Manna's 14 points are the most in a single season in DI program history, while her 34 career points are second.
• Alison Guilmette (Coventry, R.I.) has a team-high four assists on the year. Her 10 career assists are the most in DI program history.
• Guilmette has also scored in each of the last two games and has eight points on the year.
• Lexi Kraemer (Forest Hill, Md.) and Amanda Spitaleri (Ronkonkoma, N.Y.) both have three goals on the year.
• Meghan Dalton (West Hartford, Conn.) boasts a league-leading 0.71 GAA and a .848 save percentage. She's allowed just four goals in the last 10 games.
• Dalton has posted six shutouts in that span, tying the DI single-season record for clean sheets.       

A bit about the Knights

• FDU enters the tournament with an 8-5-6 overall record and a 7-0-3 NEC record.
• The Knights are averaging 1.42 goals per game and have allowed just 18 goals in 19 games.
• Alexaine Marquis leads the team with six goals and four assists for 16 points.
• She's one of eight Knights with multiple goals on the year. Maja Skansberg and Lea Egner each have three goals on the year.
• Amanda Fitzgerald has posted a 0.78 goals against average and an .853 save percentage. She's posted seven shutouts on the season.
