Rivera, Stenhård, and Ritzer earn NEC Honors

Somerset, N.J. - Alexa Rivera, Julia Stenhård, and Gabrielle Ritzer of the Bryant University women's swimming and diving team all received Northeast Conference weekly honors from the organization on Thursday.

Rivera was named the Co-NEC Swimmer of the Week for her efforts against URI on Saturday. Rivera placed first in the 50 free, 100 fly, and 200 free by posting times of 24.54, 58.07, and 1:59.27. This is the fourth time in her career and second time this season that Rivera has won this award.

Freshman Stenhård earned the Co-NEC Rookie of the Week for the first time in her career. Stenhård was victorious in the 200 back (2:08.20) and placed second in the 100 back with a time of 58.85. She also helped her team win the 200 medley relay.

For the second week in a row, Ritzer has received the NEC Diver of the Week award. Ritzer won the one-meter dive with a score of 230.85. This is the fourth time in Ritzer's career that she has won this award.

The Bulldogs head to Storrs, Conn. on Saturday to face off against UCONN in a road meet.
