Kuipers, Lord Lead Bryant Past Providence

SMITHFIELD, R.I.- The Bryant women's swimming and diving team won their second straight dual meet Friday, defeating Providence at the Chace Center pool. The Bulldogs swept all 16 events en route to the win.

Natalia Kuipers kicked things off with a bang, swimming a 17:49.86 in the mile to set a Chace pool record in the first individual event of the meet. She was one of eight Bulldogs to take an individual event win on the night.

Reagan Lord led the way with three event wins, sweeping the backstrokes and swimming a 2:12.90 in the 200 IM. Three other Bryant swimmers and a diver took multiple event wins, as Jill Carline won both the 100 and 200 free, Nellie Clark swept the 100 and 200 breast, Julia Stenhard swept the 100 and 200 fly, and Sydney Barnett won both the one and three meter dives.

Marcella Figueroa (50 free) and Charlee LeGallais (500 free) also took individual wins for the Bulldogs.

Bryant will be back in action when they compete in the Gompei Invitational from December 2-4.
