BRYANT WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO NJIT SATURDAY
SMITHFIELD, RI - The Bryant University women's tennis team wrapped
up the 2008-09 season with a 6-1 loss to visiting NJIT Saturday at
the Bryant Tennis Court Complex.
The Bulldogs got their lone point at No. 6 singles as Amanda Granville (Hawley, PA) defeated Katie DeRosa 8-0 in a pro-set. The Bulldogs opened the match dropping the doubles point as NJIT won at No. 1 and No. 2 doubles.
The freshmen tandem of Talia Aviani (East Rockaway, NY) and Martha Chapman (Orange, CT) earned an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles.
