BULLDOG WOMEN TURN OUT STRONG SHOWING IN WEEKEND ITAs; McCABE/GRANVILLE FALL IN B DOUBLES FINAL, 9-7

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University women's tennis team found success at last weekend's ITAs in Philadelphia, advancing a number of players into the quarterfinals and beyond in both singles and doubles play.

Headlining the Bulldogs' success was an appearance in the A Doubles Finals by sophomore Katie McCabe (Barrington, R.I.) and senior Amanda Granville (Hawley, Pa.), where they would eventually fall to Bentley, 9-7. McCabe would also advance to the semifinals of the B Singles Draw after beating her partner, Granville, 8-3 in the round of eight. She would lose to eventual B Singles winner from Stonehill College.
