Bryant closes regular season with 6-1 win over Sacred Heart

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University women's tennis team celebrated senior day with an emphatic 6-1 victory over Sacred Heart on Sunday afternoon at Fore Court.

With the win, the Bulldogs finish the regular season with a 9-8 overall record and a 2-1 mark in the Northeast Conference. Bryant will now await seeding for next weekend's NEC Tournament.

"It was a great senior day. The girls played really well. We came out strong in doubles and rode the momentum into singles. We had another solid singles day, as well. The group of seniors has truly left their mark on our program, no question."

  • Bryant wrapped up the match with victories at the top five singles spots. Campfield, Arroyo and Luiggi all won, while Arianna Oropeza (Weston, Fla.) and Tan picked up the other wins.
