Women's tennis announces 2020 schedule

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University women's tennis coach Barbara Cilli officially announced Bulldogs' 2020 schedule on Monday afternoon.

The Bulldogs will play 16 dual matches during the competitive season, beginning with a trip to Boston University on Jan. 25. Bryant will play nine of those 16 matches at home.

After opening the spring semester against BU, the Black and Gold will host St. Bonaventure on Fore Court in Cumberland on the 26th. The following weekend takes the Bulldogs to UMass (Feb. 1) and UConn (Feb. 2).

The Bulldogs will then play eight of their next nine matches at home. They open the stretch against Brandeis on Feb. 8 at Rally Point before hosting FDU (Feb. 22, Rally Point), Hofstra (Feb. 23, Fore Court) and Long Island (Feb. 29, Rally Point).

Bryant will then face Fairfield on a neutral site before hosting St. John's (Mar. 7, Rally Point), St. Francis Brooklyn (Mar. 21, Rally Point) and Siena (Mar. 22, Fore Court). The Black and Gold will host their first outdoor match of the season on Mar. 26 against Quinnipiac.

The Black and Gold close the spring with a pair of matches in Fairfield, Connecticut, against Sacred Heart (Mar. 28) and Merrimack (Mar. 29) and a trip to in-state rival URI (Apr. 1).

The 2020 Northeast Conference Women's Tennis Championships are scheduled for Apr. 17-19 at the Mercer County Tennis Center in West Windsor, N.J.).
