SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University women's tennis dropped a 5-2 decision to URI on Tuesday afternoon.

"Well played match by URI. As disappointing as the loss of the doubles point was, we were in every singles match. Some went our way and, unfortunately, some did not. We will work on where we fell short and get ourselves into fighting shape for Friday vs. LIU."

How It Happened

• Bryant won at No. 3 doubles but URI bounced back to win and No. 2 and No. 1 to clinch the point.
• The Bulldogs were able to tie the match at 2-2 as Arianna Oropeza and Olivia Rondini won at No. 3 and No. 6.
• The Rams won the final three matches of the afternoon, including a pair in three sets, to close it out.
