Bulldogs nipped by Sharks, 4-3

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University women's tennis team dropped a narrow match to Long Island on Friday afternoon.

"The doubles point eluded us and that cost us the match. LIU squeaked it out with aggressive tennis."

How It Happened

  • Bryant won at No. 1 doubles but the Sharks rebounded to claim the point with victories at No. 2 and No. 3.
  • The Bulldogs then became the first team all year to win three singles matches against the Sharks, winning at No. 1, No. 4 and No. 6.
  • Ada Boru cleaned up at No. 1 and Leanne Kendall and Olivia Rondini tied up the match with wins at 4 and 6.
  • The Sharks were able to clinch the match with a victory at No. 5.
