PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Taking a 2-1 lead into singles play, third-seeded Slippery Rock earned wins at No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 singles to earn a 5-1 win over second-seeded Bryant University in NCAA Division II women’s tennis second round action Saturday at Brown University’s Pizzitola Center. PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Bryant University women’s tennis team advanced to the second round of the NCAA tournament for the fourth consecutive time as the Bulldogs, the No. 2 seed of the East Regional, defeated seventh-seed Philadelphia in first round action Friday at Brown University’s Pizzitola Center. Bryant will advance to face Slippery Rock on Saturday starting at 11 a.m. for the right to advance to the Round of 16 in Houston, TX.
