BULLDOGS HEAD TO PENNSYLVANIA FOR PAIR OF WEEKEND CONFERENCE BOUTS

SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- The Bryant University volleyball team will travel to western Pennsylvania this weekend for a pair of Northeast Conference matchups. The Bulldogs will take on Robert Morris on Saturday (3 p.m.) before facing off against Saint Francis (PA) Sunday afternoon (1 p.m.).
Robert Morris (5-14, 2-0 NEC) welcomes Bryant (5-14, 1-1) to the Sewall Center for the Colonials' inaugural Dig Pink game Saturday. The match, part of the Dig Pink National Breast Cancer Awareness Rally, will raise funds for Washington D.C.'s Side-Out Foundation. Admission will be free, but donations are welcome as all proceeds will benefit the Foundation.
Robert Morris is led by 126 kills from Amanda Craig and 556 assists from Alyssa Bennett. A trio of Colonials have recorded 125+ digs, led by Corinne Moser (206).
The Bulldogs will follow Saturday's contest with a 1 p.m. bout against Saint Francis (PA) Sunday afternoon. The Red Flash (4-14, 1-1 NEC) are paced by Shirley Miller's 168 kills, while Elizabeth Williams has 37 blocks and 104 kills. Rikki Myers boasts 418 helpers in 18 matches with Christine Breisch's 178 digs leading the way defensively.
For the Bulldogs, four boast kill totals over 100, led by sophomore standouts Maria Scocca (244) and Jazmin Stoner (190). Junior libero Robyn Gardner has 335 digs to lead Bryant defensively, while Scocca's 91 blocks (12 solo, 79 assists) are a team best.
Bryant will try to get back to winning with the weekend set, as the Black and Gold look to snap a three-match losing streak and return home with an above .500 conference record.
