Bulldogs earn AVCA Team Academic Award for 2015-16 performance in classroom

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – For the third-straight season, the Bryant University volleyball team has been named among the 132 NCAA Division I women's teams to receive the 2015-16 AVCA Team Academic Award, as announced by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Six Bryant University athletic teams have been recognized for their academic achievement and are among over 1,000 NCAA Division I sports teams that are being recognized for outstanding performance in the classroom. The APR is an annual scorecard of academic achievement calculated for all Division I sports teams nationally.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- The Bryant University volleyball team makes its first-ever Division I playoff appearance in the 2015 Northeast Conference Tournament Nov. 21-22. Bryant secured the No. 3 seed and will faceoff against No. 2 Robert Morris in the second semifinal Saturday at 6:30 p.m.

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – The Bryant University volleyball team pushed Saturday’s matchup against Robert Morris to the full five sets but couldn’t come away with the win to open the final regular-season weekend, falling to the Colonials, 3-2, on the road at the Sewall Center.
