Kennedy named to All-NEC second team

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – Bryant University volleyball sophomore Caroline Kennedy (San Juan Capistrano, Calif.) collected All-Northeast Conference Second Team honors for the second consecutive year, as announced Thursday evening at the Northeast Conference pre-tournament banquet at the UPMC Events Center.

Kennedy was a force on the right side in NEC play for the Black & Gold, hitting .332 with 2.97 kills per set in conference matches. The sophomore recorded double-digit kills in 10 of 16 NEC matches and hit .375 or better seven times, including a .733 (11-0-15) showing against Saint Francis U in October and three straight performances of 17 kills to begin November.

It marked the second consecutive season Kennedy earned second team honors. The California native finished her sophomore campaign with 705 career kills in 67 matches.

Bryant went 15-17 overall in 2019 and tied for fourth in the NEC at 10-6. The Bulldogs recorded double-digit wins in NEC play for the fifth straight season.
