Coach Garlacy's Comments

"We had a tremendous team effort led by Caroline Kennedy, Emma McGovern, and Haley O'Brien; all three of them paced us on both sides of the ball. Abby Rae was solid at libero at served very well. Aubrey Lapour also came in and gave a good boost off the bench."

Set 1: The opening set featured quite a few lead changes and swings in momentum. Both teams played close until the late stages, when Fairfield used a 6-1 run to pull away. Bryant used a balanced offense, with seven players contributing to the team's 15 kills in the set.

Set 2: The Bulldogs struggled a bit in the second, allowing Fairfield to pull away after a closely contested first few points. Despite Bryant's struggles attacking in the period, Caroline Kennedy and Riley James were each able to pick up three kills.

Set 3: Bryant played from behind for much of the third set, but never let Fairfield get a big lead. They were able to stage a late comeback, using a 3-0 run to tie the score at 24, and eventually went on to win the set, 28-26. Mia Cergol set a match high with her 15 assists in the set, and Haley O'Brien had four kills on only six attempts to go along with a pair of blocks.

Set 4: The Bulldogs got out to an early lead in the final set, but a 4-0 run by Fairfield out of a timeout gave the Stags a lead they would not give up. Aubrey Lapour had three of her season high four kills in the set, while Kennedy and McGovern had four kills each.
