Tiffany Garry returns to her alma mater and enters her first season on the bench as an assistant coach for the Bryant University volleyball program in 2009.
A four-year member of the Bulldogs, Garry graduated as one of the most prolific setters in Bulldog history, known as one of the best among a program with a long and storied history of strong setters.
Garry was the starting setter all four years with the Black and Gold and was a three-time Northeast-10 Conference Setter of the Year. She was named an all-conference selection every season, garnering first team honors as a junior and senior.
In 2007, her final season with the Bulldogs, Garry earned AVCA All-America Honorable Mention honors after leading Bryant to the NCAA Northeast Regional final. During her career, she led the Bulldogs to three years of undefeated conference records and four consecutive NCAA tournament berths.
Garry is the current record holder in a number of categories, including most aces in a match (12), most assists in a career (6278), most aces in a career (396) and most sets played in a season (45). She sits at No. 2 all-time in assists in a season (1703) and is among the all-time top-10 in aces in a season for three of her four years, holding the second, third and sixth spots (108, 107 and 95, respectively). She is at 10th in most block assists in a career (171), fourth in most sets played in a season (157) and most matches played in a career (161) and fifth in most sets played in a career (543).
A member of the Century Club with 115 career wins to her name, Garry was a two-time Bulldog Award winner.
Before returning to Bryant to join the coaching staff in the spring of 2009, Garry spent two years coaching with the Rhode Island Blast Volleyball Club and coached the Lincoln Way East (HS) Camp from 2003-05. She is also a certified high school referee.
A native of Frankfort, Ill., Garry is a 2008 graduate of Bryant
University with a degree in marketing. She is currently an account
sales manager with Pepsi Bottling Group in Canton, Mass. and
resides in Braintree, Mass.
