Bryant finishes seventh at Ted Owens Invitational
NEW BRITAIN, Conn. – The Bryant University men's and women's cross country teams both finished seventh out of 19 teams this morning at the Ted Owens Invitational hosted by Central Connecticut.
The Bulldogs were led by sophomores Jason Dolan (Westford, Mass.) for the men and Julia Ayres (Collegeville, Pa.) for the women.
COACH SWITZER COMMENTS
Men | "Today was a great opportunity to get out and learn the NEC course. We will still need to work on our race execution, but as a team, it definitely continued as a step forward from Nassaney," said head coach Mitch Switzer about the men's team. "They did a great job of working as a team and using each other during the race. It's not an easy course, but now we know what we need to do when we come back in November."
Women | "I think today was a breakout for the women and they're starting to really see the potential they have as a group. There's certainly a lot they can take away from today, but it was a good confidence boost when we needed it and I'm excited to see where the season starts to go."
