Ward earned conference and national accolades for his week at the plate, as the Bulldog outfielder ran his hitting streak to 19 games and reached safely for the 29^th-straight contest after a midweek tie at UConn and weekend four-game sweep of Fairleigh Dickinson. Ward hit .536 (15-for-28) with eight extra-base hits – three of them home runs – to record a 1.036 slugging percentage. The Massachusetts native had at least two hits and one run scored in all five contests as he earned Player and Rookie of the Week honors from the NEC and was tabbed as Collegiate Baseball National Player of the Week.
