Richmeyer hit .421 in a pair of weekend victories to keep Bryant in contention for an NEC regular-season crown. The Bulldog middle blocker hit .429 with nine kills and no errors in Bryant’s comeback win over Sacred Heart Friday while adding seven blocks, including two solo. Richmeyer followed that performance by hitting .412 (8-1-17) in Saturday’s sweep of Fairleigh Dickinson, which brought Bryant within one match of first-place LIU Brooklyn leading into the teams’ meeting Friday night in Smithfield.
