Ward’s career-high 32 digs Friday helped lift Bryant to a five-set victory over Central Connecticut in the NEC semifinals. The sophomore libero picked up the 1,000^th dig of her career in the win over the Blue Devils, becoming the first player in program history to reach the 1,000 mark in her sophomore season. Ward followed Friday’s performance with 17 digs in Saturday’s sweep of Sacred Heart to capture Bryant’s first Northeast Conference Championship and earn all-tournament team honors.
