Thank You, Bryant: Freya Ward

Bryant Athletics will feature "Thank You, Bryant" letters from senior student-athletes over the course of the next two weeks.

Dear Bryant,

The last four years have gone by so quickly that it is crazy to think that I will never walk around the campus as a student or athlete again. These four years have been the best times of my life and I have made some lifelong friends and created memories that will last a lifetime.

To the Bryant Athletic community, thank you for being a constant support to each and every athlete at Bryant. Although we all compete in different events or sports, we all have one thing in common and that is that we are proud to wear Black and Gold. Thank you to those who took the trip to come and support the field hockey team, it meant so much to us when we saw some familiar faces in the crowd.

To all my coaches and support staff I have had a Bryant, thank you for giving me the opportunity to move to a different country to play the sport I love and to become a Bryant bulldog. Thank you for believing and trusting in me to help improve the program and for giving me the support I needed to get through four years. I have learned so much about the sport and myself and a lot of that is a reflection on you, so thank you.

To my teammates both past and present, you guys have become my family. Thank you for being there through all the ups and downs, for cheering me on and being a shoulder to cry on when things got tough. Thank you for pushing me to be a better player and person and for teaching me that your teammates really are what make your time as an athlete special. I will cherish all the memories I have made with each and every one of you and I cannot wait to see you all soon.

Thank you to every other person that made my Bryant athletic career such a special time in my life.
