Walsh named women's bowling head coach

SMITHFIELD, R.I. – Bryant University Director of Athletics Bill Smith has announced the hiring of Morgan Walsh as head coach of the Bryant Women's Bowling program.

The women's bowling program is one of three programs, including women's golf and women's rowing, that will become varsity programs starting with the 2022-2023 academic year.

Walsh arrives in Smithfield after spending the last two years as an assistant coach with the women's bowling program at Medaille College. She helped Medaille win a conference championship and advance to the second round of the NCAA Championships.

During her playing days, Walsh enjoyed an outstanding career at both Fairleigh Dickinson and Medaille. At FDU, she helped the Knights win the 2017 Northeast Conference Championship and earn a spot in the NCAA Tournament.

Walsh excelled at Medaille in her hometown of Buffalo, earning 2019 Medaille College Female Athlete of the Year honors. She helped Medaille win a pair of AMCC titles and advance to the 2019 NCAA Tournament.

Walsh was also awarded National Tenpin Coaches Association Academic All-American honors all four years of her career. She was also a member of the Chi Alpha Sigma National Collegiate Student-Athlete Honor Society.
