Bio

Sports: Men's Basketball, Volleyball, Softball

Former Northeast Conference student-athlete Lauren Chapman begins her seventh year at Bryant and her first as Associate Director of Academic Advising for Student-Athletes in 2022-23. She will be in charge of advising men’s basketball, volleyball, softball.

Prior to her time at Bryant, Chapman spent two years as the Athlete Academic Advisor at New Mexico Military Institute, where she advised the junior college football, men’s basketball, baseball, women’s volleyball, men’s golf, tennis and cross country/track teams. She played a vital role in helping her student-athletes graduate, stay eligible for the NJCAA and become eligible to transfer into the NCAA.

Following her undergraduate years at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Chapman spent two years at Belmont University receiving her Masters in Sport Administration while also teaching in the Sport Science Department and interning with compliance inside the Athletics Department. Upon graduation, she received a post-graduate internship with Governance at the NCAA, where she worked closely with Divisions I and II, along with the National Letter of Intent program.

Chapman received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a minor in Criminal Justice from Fairleigh Dickinson, where she won four NEC titles with the women's golf team. Chapman was also the Vice President of FDU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for three years, which later advanced her into the position as the Northeast Conference representative at NCAA Division I National SAAC.

A native of Haddam, Conn., Chapman is a current member of N4A and NACADA. She currently resides in Providence, R.I.
