Bio

Jamal Brown is in his first season as a sport performance intern.

In his role, Brown designs and implements programs for men’s basketball, men’s tennis, golf, and women’s bowling including pre-practice, post-practice, & recovery routines. He also assisted with Bryant's other varsity sport programs and gained experience with force plate testing & velocity-based training.

Prior to coming to Bryant, Brown served as the Director of Performance at Prospect U Basketball in Washington, D.C. He assessed athletes to determine needs and acquire performance measurables and designed and implemented workout programs. Brown also led athletes through pre and post-game routines, optimizing athletic performance.

In addition, Brown also served as the owner of Last Regret Training LLC in Alexandria, Va. He worked with local athletes to develop basketball and strength training programs. He has also worked as a player development coach at District Sports Center, a fitness center manager/specialist at Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission and a year as the head basketball coach at Excellence Christian School in Upper Marlboro, Md.

Brown holds a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science from Towson University. His certifications include NASM Certified Personal Trainer, NASM Performance Enhancement Specialist and a NASM Fitness Nutrition Specialist.
