Bio

Jason Sullivan begins his 21st year at Bryant University in 2023-24 and his 27th year working in collegiate athletics. In 2022, Sullivan, was promoted to Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Relations where he oversees the Corporate Sponsorship program for Bulldogs Athletics, Sports Marketing and Communications, Licensing and Branding, as well as coordinating the Bryant University Athletics Hall of Fame. 

As a member of the department's senior staff, Sullivan serves as the sport supervisor for men's soccer, women's lacrosse and men's and women's golf.  

A 1994 graduate of the University of New Hampshire with a degree in Communication, Sullivan spent 10 years at Division I Cal Poly University in San Luis Obispo, California, upon graduating from UNH. While at Cal Poly from 1993 to 2002, he served as the Assistant Director of Media Relations for four years before being promoted to Assistant Athletic Director for Media Relations in 1997, a position he held through June of 2002.   

While at Cal Poly, Sullivan oversaw the public relation and promotions for 20 Division I Intercollegiate sports, including all publications and weekly news releases. In addition, Sullivan designed and implemented Cal Poly's new athletic website plus served as the play-by-play and color analyst for several Cal Poly football, basketball and baseball radio broadcasts and hosted Cal Poly's Weekly Baseball Coaches Show on 1280 KKAL. 

During his tenure at Cal Poly, he assisted with various NCAA and conference championships including the 1996 NCAA Men's Basketball Regional in San Jose as well as the Big West Conference Baseball tournament championship at Long Beach State University and the Big West Conference Basketball Tournaments in Reno, Nevada and Anaheim, Calif.  

In addition to his role within the Athletics Department, Sullivan was also an instructor in the Cal Poly Computer Science Department and served as a lecturer with the university's Journalism Department. 

Prior to arriving at Bryant University in the fall of 2003, Sullivan was the Director of Media Relations at the University of New Haven for one year.

At Bryant, Sullivan served as the Assistant Athletic Director of Communications for the Bulldogs before being promoted to Associate Athletic Director for External Relations. While at Bryant, Sullivan helped oversee the Athletics Department's move to Division I in 2007-08 and membership into the Northeast Conference and America East Conference. A former member of the NEC Sports Management Committee, he currently serves on the Bryant University NCAA Student-Athlete Welfare Committee.

Sullivan has played a leadership role in developing several successful sports information and marketing professionals, with former assistants having gone on to work for the University of Connecticut, Stanford University, Texas A&M, the Big East Conference, the American Athletic Conference, America East Conference, Oakland Athletics, Providence Bruins, Providence College, Long Beach State, Notre Dame, San Diego State, the University of Washington, Merrimack College, Amherst College and Villanova University, among others.

A member of the United States Basketball Writers Association, Words Unlimited and NACMA, Sullivan earned his master's degree in Sports Leadership at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh in 2012. 

A native of Dover, New Hampshire, Sullivan resides in North Attleboro, MA with his wife Cheryl and son Liam.
