Tyler Woelfel returned to Bryant in 2019 as an assistant athletic trainer.

Woelfel is the primary athletic trainer for Bryant's men's basketball program and works extensively with the Bulldog football team. He also serves as Bryant's certified first aid, CPR and AED instructor to train coaches and administrators.

He returns to Smithfield after spending last spring at Assumption as an assistant athletic trainer and a year as an athletic trainer in Massachusetts. While at Assumption, Woelfel worked with the Greyhounds' men's lacrosse program.

Woelfel spent the 2017-18 season at Bryant as an athletic training intern, working with the Bryant football program.

Woelfel is a licensed athletic trainer in Rhode Island and Massachusetts and a member of the NATA.

A native of Haverhill, Massachusetts, Woelfel holds a bachelor's degree in athletic training from the University of New England and a master's in sport and exercise science from Merrimack College.
